Well, that was an interesting Picnic…Photostream

So this weekend was Picnic Day.

Officially: An open house of UC Davis that showcases all the university has to offer.

Unofficially:To different people I think it means different things. To many college students it is the ultimate excuse to get drunk. Really drunk. Then you must find other drunk people and dance or wander the streets until you can get drunk no longer. To others it is laying on the grass with your friends, drinking root beer floats and enjoying the pre-summer sun.  And still there are some who would prefer to skip the event altogether. Whatever their reasons, 1000s of people congregate on campus and downtown and it is actually pretty overwhelming and hectic and once you have lost a friend it takes forever to get back together again.

I learned: Never put a carbonated drink like beer or soda into my sippy cup (see above). The pressure will spark an unstoppable gushing of liquid out of the straw and at your digital camera, shirt, and face. Solution: Drink from straw super fast and if it’s beer you are suddenly really drunk and if its soda well then those fizzies can be pretty irritating too.

I learned: Events like these give a few dumb, ignorant, self-entitled people the chance to come out and act obnoxious and disrespectful.

I learned: Lots of people come that aren’t from Davis. Like my twin from Cal Poly. Or like party-seeking high school students who think we can’t tell they are 15.

I learned: There are a lot of ridiculously cute dogs everywhere. And, I miss my dogs a lot. And, I might just need get a pet hedgehog to fill this void.

P.S. Stephanie if you read this don’t hate me for putting a photo of you eating a root beer float lol <3

Why do two people look down and ignore each other because they are too afraid to say hi? Lol

Wow so I basically don’t post anything anymore. Well anyways I love this song & I just learned the chords. I just wish I could play like him! Wishhh 11.11

#1 It’s Carlton from Fresh Prince!!!

#2 He can dance!?

#3 “It’s not unusual to be loved by anyoneee…” ♪ ♫

Good if you want to meet a person from France, China, England, New York, and Spain all within 60 seconds. That is, if you don’t mind being flashed by a naked person doing…eh…various things every so often (forgot to mention that small part in the youtube video? lol). Incredibly creepy. Incredibly intriguing. Mixed in with a select few who are incredibly nice. Not sure if I’ll return to the site, but somehow, I felt a little more connected to mankind.

C’mon now just don’t be dumb and give out where you live, credit card number, social security number, Mom’s maiden name…seriously just waiting for that to be on the news

Today, I realized that students are just like kids. We adore anything that our mother gives us from home, take too many naps, generally don’t sleep during the night, get frustrated very easily, crayons are awesome again, a pet fish is all we’re allowed to have, there is nothing better then homemade cookies, and most of all it’s a huge drop from our beds to the ground. And I thought college would make me grow up.
My Cousin

hahah! Rob!!!!!

Glued to the PC screen, 10 years old, with my twin brother squished on one side and older brother on the other. Rosebud Rosebud Rosebud Rosebud.

Back when I didn’t have to turn the sound off because the music became so irritating.

And everything was simple, which isnt always a bad thing

Nostalgia!!!!!!!!!

10 Things I Do When I’m Bored in Lecture

1. Take Panoramic shots of everything around me with my camera phone

2. Imagine myself doing something really dramatic, like running up to the front of the lecture, punching the projector, erasing the entire chalkboard, and throwing my clicker at the wall.

3. Shade an entire notebook page with my pencil then draw a picture with my eraser

4. Look up, stare at the lights for as long as I can, then close my eyes and enjoy the light show in my eyelids. May fall asleep in process.

5.  Plan my escape route as if there was about to be an earthquake, explosion, fire, or as if an airplane was about to crash into my lecture hall

6. Get a fresh piece of notebook and start tallying the seconds. Circle the tens. Box the minutes.

7. Fold an Origami Frog. Split the frog in half and refold into two mini origami frogs. Split those in half and refold into four mini-mini-origami frogs . Keep splitting and refolding until they can multiply no longer. When cannot fold anymore hop them around.

8. Draw a maze. Come back to the maze in ten minutes and try to find my way through it.

9. Sleep behind open laptop. (Important: Cannot go on Facebook. Internet Sucks)

10. Subconsciously convince myself that I have a headache and need to leave immediately because I might be getting sick and that wouldn’t be very good for my studies.

If you don’t know me by now
You will never never never know me

All the things that we’ve been through
You should understand me like I understand you

I love this song so so much.

“The Neverending Story…NaNaNA NaNaNa nanana”

The Childlike Empress: Call my name. Bastian, please! Save us!

Bastian: All right! I’ll do it! I’ll save you! I will do what I dream! [Climbs to the window and yells out in the storm

Bastian: MOONCHILD!

…..

Bastian: Why is it so dark?

The Childlike Empress: In the beginning, it is always dark.
